A Story From the Life of Ayesha (R.A) Part 1

Ayesha (may Allah be please with her)
(the wife of the Prophet peace be upon him) stated that, "Whenever Allah's Apostle (peace be upon him) intended to go on a journey, he would
draw lots amongst his wives and would take with him the one upon whom the lot fell.

During a Ghazwa of his, he drew lots amongst us and the lot fell upon me, and I proceeded with him after Allah had decreed the use of the veil by women. I was carried in a Howdah
(on the camel) and dismounted while still in it. When Allah's Apostle (peace be upon him) was through with his Ghazwa and returned home, and we approached the city of Medina, Allah's Apostle (peace be upon him) ordered us to proceed at night. When the order of setting off was given, I walked till I was past the army to answer the call of nature. After finishing I returned (to the camp) to depart (with the others) and suddenly realized that my necklace over my chest was missing. So, I
returned to look for it and was delayed because of that. The people who used to carry me on the camel, came to my Howdah and put it on the back of the camel, thinking that I was in it, as, at that time, women were light in weight, and thin and lean, and did not use to eat
much.

So, those people did not feel the difference in the heaviness of the Howdah while
lifting it, and they put it over the camel.

At that time I was a young lady. They set the camel moving and proceeded on. I found my necklace after the army had gone, and came to their camp to find nobody. So, I went to the place where I used to stay, thinking that they would discover my absence and come back in my search. While in that state, I felt sleepy and
slept.

Safwan bin Mu'attal As-Sulami Adh-Dhakwani (may Allah be pleased with him) was behind the army and reached my abode in the morning. When he saw a sleeping person, he came to me, and he used to see me before veiling. So, I got up when I heard him saying, 'Inna lil-lah-wa inn a ilaihi rajiun (We are for Allah, and we will return to Him).' He made his camel kneel down. He got down from his camel, and put his leg on the front legs of the camel and then I rode and sat over it.

Safwan (R.A) set out walking, leading the camel by the rope till we reached the army who had halted to take rest at midday. Then whoever was meant for destruction, fell into
destruction, (some people accused me falsely) and the leader of the false accusers was
'Abdullah bin Ubai bin Salul. After that we returned to Medina, and I became ill for one month while the people were spreading the forged statements of the false accusers. I was
feeling during my ailment as if I were not receiving the usual kindness from the Prophet (peace be upon him) which I used to receive from him when I got sick. But he would come, greet and say, 'How
is that (girl)?' I did not know anything of what was going on till I recovered from my ailment and went out with Um Mistah to the Manasi where we used to answer the call of nature,
and we used not to go to answer the call of nature except from night to night and that was before we had lavatories near to our houses. And this habit of ours was similar to the habit of the old 'Arabs in the open country (or away from houses).

So, I and Um Mistah bint Ruhm (R.A) went out walking. Um Mistah (R.A) stumbled because of her long dress and on that she said, 'Let
Mistah be ruined.' I said, 'You are saying a bad word. Why are you abusing a man who took part in (the battle of) Badr?' She said, 'O Hanata (you there) didn't you hear what they
said?' Then she told me the rumors of the false accusers.

My sickness was aggravated, and when I returned home, Allah's Apostle came to me, and
after greeting he said, 'How is that (girl)?' I requested him to allow me to go to my parents.
I wanted then to be sure of the news through them. Allah's Apostle (peace be upon him) allowed me, and I went to my parents and asked my mother, 'What are the people talking about?' She said, 'O my daughter! Don't worry much about this matter. By Allah, never is there a charming woman
loved by her husband who has other wives, but the women would forge false news about
her.' I said, 'Glorified be Allah! Are the people really taking of this matter?' That night I kept on weeping and could not sleep till morning.

In the morning Allah's Apostle (peace be upon him) called Ali bin Abu Talib and Usama bin Zaid when he saw the Divine Inspiration delayed, to consult them about divorcing his wife (i.e. 'Aisha (R.A)). Usama bin Zaid (R.A) said what he knew of the good reputation of his wives and added, 'O Allah's Apostle! Keep your wife, for, by Allah, we know nothing about her but good.' 'Ali bin Abu Talib (may Allah be pleased with him) said, 'O Allah's Apostle! Allah has not imposed restrictions on you, and there are many women other than she, yet you may ask the woman-servant who will tell you the truth.' On that Allah's Apostle called Buraira (R.A) and
said, 'O Buraira. Did you ever see anything which roused your suspicions about her?'
Buraira (R.A) said, 'No, by Allah Who has sent you with the Truth, I have never seen in her anything faulty except that she is a girl of immature age, who sometimes sleeps and leaves
the dough for the goats to eat.'

A Story From the Life of Ayesha (R.A) Part 2

On that day Allah's Apostle may Allah be pleased with him ascended the pulpit and requested that somebody support him in punishing 'Abdullah bin Ubai bin Salul. Allah's Apostle said, 'Who will support me to punish that person ('Abdullah bin Ubai bin Salul) who
has hurt me by slandering the reputation of my family? By Allah, I know nothing about my family but good, and they have accused a person about whom I know nothing except good,
and he never entered my house except in my company.'

Sad bin Mu'adh (R.A) got up and said, 'O Allah's Apostle (peace be upon him)! by Allah, I will relieve you from him. If
that man is from the tribe of the Aus, then we will chop his head off, and if he is from our brothers, the Khazraj, then order us, and we will fulfill your order.' On that Sad bin
'Ubada, the chief of the Khazraj and before this incident, he had been a pious man, got up,
motivated by his zeal for his tribe and said, 'By Allah, you have told a lie; you cannot kill him, and you will never be able to kill him.' On that Usaid bin Al-Hadir (R.A) got up and said (to
Sad bin 'Ubada), 'By Allah! you are a liar. By Allah, we will kill him; and you are a hypocrite, defending the hypocrites.'

On this the two tribes of Aus and Khazraj got excited and were about to fight each other, while Allah's Apostle may Allah be pleased with him was standing on the pulpit. He got down and quieted them till they became silent and he kept quiet. On that day I kept on weeping so much so that neither did my tears stop, nor could I sleep.

In the morning my parents were with me and I had wept for two nights and a day, till I thought my liver would burst from weeping. While they were sitting with me and I was
weeping, an Ansari woman asked my permission to enter, and I allowed her to come in.

She sat down and started weeping with me. While we were in this state, Allah's Apostle (peace be upon him) came and sat down and he had never sat with me since the day they forged the accusation.

No revelation regarding my case came to him for a month. He recited
Tashah-hud (i.e. None has the right to be worshipped but Allah and Muhammad is His Apostle) and then said, 'O 'Aisha! I have been informed such-and-such about you; if you
are innocent, then Allah will soon reveal your innocence, and if you have committed a sin,
then repent to Allah and ask Him to forgive you, for when a person confesses his sin and asks Allah for forgiveness, Allah accepts his repentance.' When Allah's Apostle (peace be upon him) finished his speech my tears ceased completely and there remained not even a single drop of it.

I requested my father to reply to Allah's Apostle on my behalf. My father said, By Allah, I do
not know what to say to Allah's Apostle(peace be upon him).' I said to my mother, 'Talk to Allah's Apostle (peace be upon him) on my behalf.' She said, 'By Allah, I do not know what to say to Allah's Apostle.'(peace be upon him)

A Story From the Life of Ayesha (R.A) Part 3

I was a young girl and did not have much knowledge of the Qur'an. I said. 'I know, by Allah,
that you have listened to what people are saying and that has been planted in your minds and you have taken it as a truth. Now, if I told you that I am innocent and Allah knows that
I am innocent, you would not believe me and if I confessed to you falsely that I am guilty, and Allah knows that I am innocent you would believe me. By Allah, I don't compare my
situation with you except to the situation of Joseph's (peace be upon him) father (i.e. Jacob (peace be upon him)) who said, 'So (for
me) patience is most fitting against that which you assert and it is Allah (alone) whose help can be sought.' Then I turned to the other side of my bed hoping that Allah would prove my
innocence. By Allah I never thought that Allah would reveal Divine Inspiration in my case, as
I considered myself too inferior to be talked of in the Holy Qur'an. I had hoped that Allah's
Apostle (peace be upon him) might have a dream in which Allah would prove my innocence. By Allah, Allah's
Apostle (peace be upon him) had not got up and nobody had left the house before the Divine Inspiration came
to Allah's Apostle. So, there overtook him the same state which used to overtake him,
(when he used to have, on being inspired divinely). He was sweating so much so that the
drops of the sweat were dropping like pearls though it was a (cold) wintry day. When that
state of Allah's Apostle was over, he was smiling and the first word he said, 'Aisha! Thank
Allah, for Allah has declared your innocence.'
My mother told me to go to Allah's Apostle (peace be upon him). I replied, 'By Allah I will not go to him and will not thank but Allah.' So Allah revealed: "Verily!
They who spread the slander are a gang among you . . ." (24.11)

When Allah gave the declaration of my innocence, Abu Bakr, who used to provide for Mistah bin Uthatha for he was his relative, said, 'By Allah, I will never provide Mistah with anything because of what he said about 'Aisha.' But Allah later revealed:

"And let not those who are good and wealthy among you swear not to help their kinsmen,
those in need and those who left their homes in Allah's cause. Let them forgive and
overlook. Do you not wish that Allah should forgive you? Verily! Allah is Oft-forgiving, Most
Merciful."
(24.22) After that Abu Bakr said, 'Yes ! By Allah! I like that Allah should forgive
me,' and resumed helping Mistah whom he used to help before.

Allah's Apostle (peace be upon him) also asked Zainab bint Jahsh (i.e. the Prophet's wife about me saying, 'What
do you know and what did you see?' She replied, 'O Allah's Apostle (peace be upon him)! I refrain to claim
hearing or seeing what I have not heard or seen. By Allah, I know nothing except goodness about 'Aisha." Aisha further added "Zainab was competing with me (in her beauty and the Prophet's (peace be upon him) love), yet Allah protected her (from being malicious), for she had piety."

The Story of Moosa (Moses peace be upon him) and Firon (Pharoah) : (Post 1)

In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful.

Tua Ha.[1] We have not sent down this Qur’an to put you to trouble,[2] but as a reminder to those who fear Allah.[3] This is a revelation from Him Who has created the earth and the lofty Heavens,[4] the Beneficent (Allah) Who is firmly established on the throne of authority,[5] to Him belongs whatever is in the Heavens and in the earth, and all that lies between them, and all that is beneath the soil.[6] The One to Whom you need not speak aloud; for He knows what is said in secret and what is yet more hidden.[7] He is Allah! There is no deity worthy of worship except Him! To Him belong the most beautiful Names.[8]

Have you heard the story of Moses?[9] When he saw a fire, he said to his family:
"Wait! I saw a fire. I may be able to bring some fire or find someone beside the fire to guide us towards the right direction."[10] When he reached there, he was called: "O Moses![11] In fact, I am your Lord! Take off your shoes, you are in the sacred valley of Tuwa.[12] I have chosen you, so listen to what I am about to reveal.[13] It is Me, Allah; there is none worthy of worship except Me, so worship Me and establish Salah for My remembrance.[14] The final Hour is sure to come, I choose to keep it hidden, so that every soul may be rewarded according to its efforts.[15] Therefore, let not any, who does not believe in this fact and follow his own desires, turn your away, lest you should perish."[16]

"O Moses what is in your right hand?"[17]

Moses replied: "It is my staff; I lean on it, I beat down fodder with it for my flocks and I have also other uses for it."[18]

Allah said
"Toss it down O Moses."[19] So he tossed it down and saw that it became a snake active in motion.[20] Allah said: "Catch it and don’t be afraid, We shall change it to its original shape.[21] Now put your hand under your armpit, it shall become shining white without hurting you, this will be another Sign.[22] These miracles are given to you, in order to show you some of Our Great Signs.[23] Now go to Pharoah (Pharaoh) for he has indeed transgressed all bounds." [24]

Moses prayed: "O Lord! Open my heart,[25] ease my task[26] and remove the
impediment from my speech[27] so that people may understand what I say[28] and grant me a minister from my family;[29] Haroon my brother.[30] Grant me strength through him[31] and let him share my task,[32] so that we may glorify You frequently[33] and mention You often;[34] for You are the One Who has always been watching over us."[35]

Allah responded: "Your request is granted, O Moses.[36] We had indeed bestowed a favor on you before,[37] when We revealed Our will to your mother saying:[38] 'Put your child into the chest and throw the chest into the river.
The river will cast him on to the bank and he will be picked up by one who is an
enemy to Me and an enemy to him.' I made you an object of love and so arranged things that you may be brought up under My supervision.[39]

Recall when your sister went to them and said: 'May I tell you of the one who can take care of this child?’
Thus did We return you back to your mother to comfort her eyes and that she might not grieve. Again when you killed a man, We saved you from great distress and We tested you through various trials. You stayed a number of years with the people of Median. Now you have come here per Our pre-ordainment, O Moses.[40] I have molded you for My service.[41] You and your brother should go with My Signs and do not neglect to mention Me.[42] Go both of you to Pharoah, for he has indeed transgressed all bounds.[43] Speak to him in gentle words; perhaps he may take heed of the reminder or fear Our punishment."[44]

Moses and Haroon said: "Our Lord! We fear that he may behave towards us unjustly or may cross all bounds."[45]

Allah said: "Do not be afraid, I shall be with you both. I hear everything and see
everything.[46] So go to him and say 'Surely we both are Messengers of your Lord.
Let the Children of Israel go with us and oppress them no more. We have brought you a Sign from your Lord; may peace be upon him who follows the guidance.[47]
Indeed it has been revealed to us that the scourge will fall on those who deny this fact and turn away’."[48] 20:[25-48]

When Moses and Haroon went to Pharoah and delivered this message , he said:
"Well, who is your Lord O Moses?"[49]

Moses replied: "Our Lord is He Who has given a distinctive form to all creatures and then rightly guided them."[50]

Pharoah asked: "What do you say about the condition of previous generations?"[51] Moses replied: "That knowledge is with my Lord, duly recorded in a Book. He neither makes
a mistake nor does He forget."[52] He is the One Who has made the earth a cradlefor you, traced the roads on it for you to walk on; and sends down water from the sky with which We produce pairs of various kinds of vegetation[53] - eat from these yourselves and pasture your cattle. Surely there are Signs in it for those who use their brains.[54]
We have created you from the earth, into it We shall return you and from it We shall bring you back to life once again.[55]

We showed Pharoah all kinds of Our Signs, but he denied them and gave no heed.[56]

He said: "Have you come to drive us out of our land with your magic O Moses?[57]

The Story of Moosa (Moses peace be upon him) and Firon (Pharoah) : (Post 2)

Well, we will confront you with magic to match yours! Let us fix a day when both of us should meet, neither we nor you shall fail to keep it, in a place where both shall have even chances."[58]

Moses replied:
"Let it be the Day of Festival and let the people be assembled before noon."[59]

Pharoah then withdrew, concerted his plan and came back.[60]

Moses addressed
them saying: "Woe to you for this challenge! Do not forge a lie against Allah by calling it a magic, lest He destroy you by a scourge; for whosoever forges a lie will indeed be disappointed."[61]

Hearing this, they debated their case among themselves, whispering to one another.[62] Finally they said: "These two (Moses and Haroon) are certainly expert magicians who intend to drive you out from your land with their magic and to do away with your best traditions.[63] Therefore, muster up all
devices and face them with a united front."

Finally when the day of confrontation came, Pharoah said: " Whoever comes out victorious this day shall prevail."[64]

The magicians said: "O Moses! Will you throw down first or shall we?"[65]

Moses replied: "Go ahead, throw down first."

Suddenly it appeared to Moses as if their cords and staffs were moving about because of their magic,[66] and Moses conceived fear within himself.[67]

We said: "Do not be afraid! You will surely come out on top.[68]

Throw that which is in your right hand. It will swallow up all that they have produced.
What they have produced is nothing but a magician’s trick, and a magician can never succeed against a miracle no matter how skillful he may be."[69]

When the magicians saw the serpent of Moses swallowing all their display, being professionals they knew that it was not magic, so the magicians humbled themselves by prostrating and said: "We believe in the Lord of Haroon and Moses."[70]

Pharoah said: "How do you dare to believe in Him without my permission? This man must be your master, who taught you witchcraft. Well, I will cut off your hands and feet on alternate sides and crucify you on trunks of palm-trees; then you will know which one of us can give a more terrible and more lasting punishment."[71]

The magicians replied: "We can never prefer you, rather we prefer the miracle which we have witnessed and Him
Who has created us. Therefore do whatever you will; you can only punish us in this worldly life.[72]

As for us, we have believed in our Lord so that He may forgive us our sins and the magic you have forced us to practice. Better is the ever lasting reward of
Allah."[73]

Surely he who will come to his Lord as a sinner shall be consigned to Hell
- wherein he shall neither die nor live.
[74]

While he who will come to Him as a
believer and has done good deeds shall have the highest ranks[75] - Gardens of
Eden, beneath which rivers flow, to live therein forever; such is the reward of those who purify themselves from evil.
[76]

We sent Our revelation to Moses, saying: "Set forth with my servants at night and strike a dry path for them through the sea without fear of being overtaken by Pharoah
and without any fear while passing through the sea."[77]

Pharoah followed them withhis armies but the waters completely overwhelmed them and covered them up.[78]

Thus Pharoah misled his people instead of guiding them aright.[79]

O Children of Israel! We delivered you from your enemy, We fixed a time to grant you The Torah on the right side of Mount Tur and We sent down to you Manna (sweet dish) and Salva (quail meat)[80] - saying: "Eat of the good things We have provided for your sustenance and do not transgress, lest you should incur My wrath, and whoever
incurs My wrath, is surely bound to perish,[81]

but the one who repents, becomes a
believer, does good deeds and follows the Right Way shall be forgiven."

Paradise

Narrated Abu Said Al Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him)

The Prophet (sallAllahu alaihe wassallam) said, "The people of Paradise will look at the dwellers of the lofty mansions (i.e. a superior place in Paradise) in the same way as one looks at a brilliant star far away
in the East or in the West on the horizon; all that is because of their superiority over one another (in rewards)." On that the people said, "O Allah's Apostle! Are these lofty mansions for the prophets which nobody else can reach? The Prophet replied," No! "By Allah in whose Hands my life is, these are for the men who believed in Allah and also believed in the Apostles."

Narrated Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him)

The Prophet (sallAllahu alaihe wassallam) said "There is a tree in Paradise (which is so big and huge that) a rider could travel in its shade for a hundred years. And if you wish, you can recite: 'In shade long extended..' (56. 30) and a place in Paradise equal to an arrow bow of one of you, is better than (the whole earth) on which the sun rises and sets."

Narrated Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him)

Allah's Apostle (sallAllahu alaihe wassallam) said, "Allah said, 'I have prepared for My pious slaves things which have never been seen by an eye, or heard by an ear, or imagined by a human being.' If you wish, you can recite this verse from the Holy Qur'an: 'No soul knows what is kept hidden for them, of joy as a reward for what they used to do.' " (32.17)

Convey

Abdullah bin Amr (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated that:

The Prophet peace be upon him said,

"Convey (my teachings) to the people even if it were a single sentence.

A wasted life

You asked me "Why I didn't care?"
It's because I forgot about you
You asked me "How could I forget you?"
Its because I was blind
You asked me "How did you become blind?"
Its because I was busy
You ask me "Busy with what"
I say I was busy with life, school, work, love, heartache, TV-
You stop me and ask "What is it all worth, now that its over?"
Nothing, I say
"So why did you do it?"
Blind and stupid, I say
What do you think you deserve?
Hell, I say
"Then why are you here?"
To beg, I say
To beg on behalf of my worthless soul
To beg on behalf of of my wasted life
On behalf of my broken heart
Because my lord you are merciful
Dear God for everthing to mean nothing
For you to be everything
Give me mercy
Give my underserving soul mercy
Because you are great
And I am nothing

Because you are great
And I am nothing...

One Half of a Date

Narrated Adi bin Hatim
(May Allah be please with him)

The Prophet peace be upon him said, "There will be none among you but will be talked to by Allah on the Day of Resurrection, without there being an interpreter between him and Him (Allah). He will
look and see nothing ahead of him, and then he will look (again for the second time) in front of him, and the (Hell) Fire will confront him. So, whoever among you can save himself from the Fire, should do so even with one half of a date (to give in charity)."

Would it Benefit You?

Thawban (may Allah be pleased with him), the freed slave of the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said: While I was standing beside the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) one of the rabbis of the Jews came and said: Peace be upon you, O Muhammad. I pushed him back so hard that he nearly fell over. Upon this he said: Why do you push me? I said: Why don't you say: O Messenger of Allah? The Jew said: We call him by the name which he was given by his family. The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said: My name is Muhammad, which is how I was named by my family.

The Jew said: I have come to ask you (something). The
Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said: Will it be of any benefit to you, if I tell you that? He (the Jew) said: I shall lend my ears to it. The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) drew a line with the help of the stick that he had with him and then said: Ask (whatever you like).

Thereupon the Jew said: Where will the human beings be on the Day when the Earth changes into another earth and the Heavens too (change into other heavens)?

The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him). said: They will be in darkness beside the bridge.

He (the Jew) again said:
Who amongst the people will be the first to cross (this bridge)?

He said: They would be the poor amongst the refugees.

The Jew said: What would constitute their breakfast when they would enter Paradise?

He (the Holy Prophet) replied: A caul of
fish-liver.

He (the Jew) said:
What would be their food after this?

He (the Holy Prophet) said: a bullock which was fed in the different quarters of Paradise would be slaughtered for them.

He (the Jew) said: What would be their drink?

He (the Holy Prophet) said: They would be given a drink from the fountain which is named Salsabil.

He (the Jew) said: I have come to ask you about something which no one amongst the people on Earth knows except an apostle or one or two men besides him. He (the Holy Prophet) said: Would it
benefit you if I tell you that?

He (the Jew) said: I would lend my ears to that. He then said:

I have come to ask you about the child.

He (the Holy Prophet) said:

The reproductive substance of a man is white and that of a woman (i.e. ovum central portion) is yellow. When they have sexual intercourse and the male's substance (chromosomes and genes) prevails upon the female's substance (chromosomes and genes), it is the male child that is created by Allah's Decree. When the substance of the female prevails upon the substance contributed by the male, a female child is formed by the Decree of Allah.

The Jew said: What
you have said is true; verily you are an Apostle.

He then turned round and went away. The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said: He asked me about such and such things of which I had no knowledge until Allah gave it to me.

Ref: Muslim Sharif

Narrated Anas bin Malik
The Prophet said, "At every womb Allah appoints an angel who says, 'O Lord ! A drop of semen, O Lord ! A clot. O Lord ! A little lump of flesh." Then if Allah wishes (to complete) its creation, the angel asks, (O Lord!) Will it be a male or female, a wretched or a blessed, and how much will his provision be? And what will his age be?' So all that is written while the child is still in the mother's womb."

All for a palm tree in jannah (paradise)

Abu Darda (may Allah have mercy on him) was one of those people who found an opportunity to win what is greater than the heavens and the earth. There was a companion of the Prophet (sallAllahu alayhi wasallam) who cultivated his garden next to the property of an orphan. The orphan claimed that a specific palm tree was on his property and therefore belonged to him. The companion rejected the claim, so the orphan boy went to the Messenger of Allah (sallAllahu alayhi wasallam) to complain. The Messenger of Allah (sallAllahu alayhi wasallam) measured the two gardens and found that the palm tree did indeed belong to the companion. The orphan erupted crying. Seeing this, the Prophet (sallAllahu alayhi wasallam) asked the companion, “Would you give him the palm tree and for you is a palm tree in Jannah?” However, the companion in his disbelief that an orphan would complain to the Prophet (sallAllahu alayhi wasallam), missed the opportunity and went away angry.

But someone else saw the opportunity – Abu Darda (radi Allahu anhu). He went to the Prophet (sallAllahu alayhi wasallam) and asked, “Ya RasulAllah, if I buy the tree from him and give it to the orphan shall I have that tree in Jannah?”

The Messenger of Allah (sallAllahu alayhi wasallam) replied, “Yes.”

Abu Darda (radi Allahu anhu) had chased after the companion and asked, “Would you sell that tree to me for my entire garden?” (Abu Darda had a garden of 600 trees)

The companion answered, “Take it, for there is no good in a tree that was complained to the Prophet about.”

Immediately, Abu Darda (radi Allahu anhu) went home and found his wife and children playing in the garden. “Leave the garden!” shouted Abu Darda. “WE HAVE SOLD IT TO ALLAH! WE HAVE SOLD IT TO ALLAH!” Some of his children had dates in their hand and he snatched the dates from them and threw them back into the garden. “WE HAVE SOLD IT TO ALLAH!”

When Abu Darda was later martyred in the battle of Uhud, RasulAllah (sallAllahu alayhi wasallam) stood over his slain body and remarked, “How many shady palm trees does Abu Darda now have in Paradise?”

What did Abu Darda lose? Dates? Bushes? Dirt? What did he gain? He gained a Jannah whose expanse is the heavens and the earth.

Subhan’Allah, how beautiful is this story, of one Sahabi who gave up everything he had, just to have one palm tree in Jannah. Allahu Akbar.

Surely This Qur’an Guides to the Way Which is Perfectly Straight.......

Surely this Qur’an guides to the Way which is perfectly straight and gives the good news to the believers who do
good that they shall have a magnificent reward;[9] and at the same time it gives
warnings to those who do not believe in the hereafter, that We have prepared for them a painful punishment.[10]

Yet man prays for evil as fervently as he ought to pray for good, and mankind is ever hasty.[11] We have made the night and the day as two signs. We enshrouded the
night with darkness and gave light to the day, to enable you to seek the bounty of
your Lord, and that you may compute the years and count the numbers. Thus, We have set forth all things in detail.[12] We have fastened the fate of every man to his own neck, and on the Day of Judgment We shall bring out for him a book spread
wide open,[13] saying: "Here is your book of deeds: read it. Today you yourself are
sufficient to take your own account."[14]

He that seeks guidance, shall be guided to his own advantage, but he that goes astray does so to his own loss. No bearer shall bear the burden of another on the
Day of Judgment. And during your worldly life, We do not inflict punishment until We
send forth a Messenger to make truth distinct from falsehood.[15] Whenever We
have intended to destroy a town, it was because We sent Our commandments to its people who were leading easy lives but they showed disobedience; as a result Our
Judgment was passed, and We razed that city to the ground.[16]

How many generations have We destroyed since Noah’s time? Sufficient is your Lord to note and see the sins of His servants.[17]

He that desires the transitory things of this life, We readily grant him such things as We please to whomsoever We want, then We condemn him to hell, where he will burn, disgraced and rejected.[18] He that desires the life of the hereafter and strives for it as best as he can provided he is a Believer, the endeavor of every such person will be accepted.[19] We bestowed on all - these as well those - out of the bounties
of your Lord; the bounties of your Lord are not confined.[20] See how We have
exalted some over others, and certainly the hereafter is more exalted and greater in
excellence.[21]

Do not associate another deity with Allah, lest you sit back, condemned, forsaken.[22] Your Lord has decreed to you that: You shall worship none but Him, and you shall be
kind to your parents; if one or both of them live to their old age in your lifetime, you shall not say to them any word of contempt nor repel them and you shall address
them in kind words.[23]

You shall lower to them your wings of humility and pray: "O Lord! Bestow on them Your blessings just as they cherished me when I was a little
child."[24] Your Lord knows best what is in your hearts. If you do good deeds,
certainly He is most forgiving to those who turn to Him in repentance.[25] You shall give to your relatives their due and to the needy and to the wayfarers. You shall not be a spendthrift[26] - as spendthrifts are the brethren of Satan and Satan is ever
ungrateful to His Lord.[27]

You shall speak courteously to needy persons if you are waiting for your Lord’s bounty and you lack the means to assist them.[28] You shall neither tie your hands to your neck (be miserly) nor stretch them forth to their utmost
reach (be prodigal), lest you sit back, blameworthy, destitute.[29] Surely your Lord gives abundantly to whom He pleases and sparingly to whom He wills, for He is aware of the condition of His servants and observes them closely.[30] You shall not kill your children for fear of want, for it is We Who provide sustenance for them as well as for you; surely killing them is a great blunder.[31] You shall not
commit adultery; surely it is a shameful deed and an evil way (opening the door to other evils).[32] You shall not kill anyone whom Allah has forbidden, except for just
cause under the law. If anyone is killed unjustly, We have granted the right of
retribution to his heir, but let him not carry his vengeance too far in killing the culprit through taking the law in his own hands, as he is supported by the law.[33] You shall not go near the property of an orphan, except with the good intention of improving it, until he attains his maturity. You shall fulfill your pledges; surely you shall be held
accountable for your pledges.[34] You shall give full measure, when you measure, and weigh with even scale; this is the best way and will prove to be the best in the end.[35] You shall not follow anyone blindly in those matters of which you have no
knowledge, surely the use of your ears and the eyes and the heart - all of these, shall
be questioned on the Day of Judgment.[36] You shall not walk arrogantly on the
earth, for you can neither rend the earth asunder nor attain the height of the mountains.[37] All these and their evil aspects are hateful in the sight of your Lord.[38] This is but a part of the wisdom which your Lord has revealed to you. Do
not associate other deities as object of worship, lest you should be cast into hell, blameworthy rejected.[39] What! Has your Lord preferred to give you sons and adopted angels as daughters for Himself? Certainly you are uttering a monstrous statement.[40]
We have explained things in various ways in this Qur’an so that they may receive admonition, yet it has only added to their aversion.[41]

The Mercy of Allah

Narrated Abu Huraira (R.A)

I heard Allah's Apostle (Muhammad peace be upon him) saying, "Verily Allah created Mercy. The day He created it, He made it into one hundred parts. He withheld with Him ninety-nine parts, and sent its one part to all His creatures. Had the non-believer known of all the Mercy which is in the Hands of Allah, he would not lose hope of entering Paradise, and had the believer known of all the punishment which is present with Allah, he would not consider himself safe from the Hell-Fire."

Abu Said Al Khudri (R.A)
The Prophet (peace be upon him) said,

"Amongst the men of Bani Israel there was a man who had murdered ninety-nine persons. Then he set out asking (whether his repentance could be accepted or not). He came upon a monk and asked him if his repentance could be accepted. The monk replied in the negative and so the man killed him. He kept on asking till a man advised to go to such and such village. (So he left for it) but death overtook him on the way. While dying, he turned his chest towards that village (where he had hoped his repentance would be
accepted), and so the angels of mercy and the angels of punishment quarrelled amongst
themselves regarding him. Allah ordered the village (towards which he was going) to come closer to him, and ordered the village (whence he had come), to go far away, and then He
ordered the angels to measure the distances between his body and the two villages. So he
was found to be one span closer to the village (he was going to). So he was forgiven."

Abu Huraira narrated that
Allah's Apostle (Muhammad peace be upon him) said,

"A prostitute was forgiven by Allah, because, passing by a panting dog near a well and seeing that the dog was about to die of thirst, she took off her shoe, and
tying it with her head-cover she drew out some water for it. So, Allah forgave her because of that."

Turn in Repentance to Your Lord, and Submit to Him.....

Allah says: "O My servants who have transgressed against their souls, do not despair of Allah’s mercy, for Allah forgives all sins. It is He Who is the Forgiving, the Merciful.[53]

Turn in repentance to your Lord, and submit to Him before there comes to you the scourge: for then, there shall be none to help you.[54] Follow the best way
that is revealed to you by your Lord before the scourge comes to you all of a sudden while you do not even perceive it.[55]

Lest someone should say: ‘Alas! I neglected my duty towards Allah and I was one of those who mocked at His revelations.'[56] Or lest he should say: 'If Allah had guided me, I would have been one of the righteous.'[57] Or lest he should say upon seeing the punishment: 'I wish I had
another chance, I would certainly be among the righteous.'"[58]

Then Allah will say to him: "My revelations did come to you; but you denied them, were arrogant and you were among the disbelievers."[59] On the Day of Judgment you shall see that the faces of those who uttered falsehood against Allah shall be darkened. Is there not an abode in hell for such arrogant?[60]

On the contrary, Allah will deliver the righteous to their place of salvation. No harm shall touch them, nor shall they ever grieve.

Presenting The Story of Jesus (A.S) and Mary (A.S) from the Holy Quran

""O Muhammad, relate to them the story of Maryam (Mary) in the Book (The Qur'an) when she withdrew from her family to a place in the East.[16] She chose to be secluded from them. We sent to her Our angel and he appeared before her as a grown man.[17]

She said: "I seek Rahman’s (Allah’s) protection against you, leave me alone if you are Godfearing."[18] He said: "Don’t be afraid, I am merely a messenger from your
Lord to tell you about the gift of a holy son."[19]

She said: "How shall I bear a son, no
man has ever touched me nor am I unchaste?"[20] The angel replied: "So shall it be- Your Lord says: `It is easy for Me. We wish to make him a Sign for mankind and a blessing from Us’ - and this matter has already been decreed."[21]

So she conceived the child and she retired with him to a remote place.[22] The pains of childbirth drove
her to the trunk of a palm-tree. She cried in her anguish: "Ah! Would that I had died
before this, and been long forgotten!"[23]

An angel from beneath the palm-tree consoled her, saying: "Do not grieve! Your Lord has provided a brook at your
feet.[24] If you shake the trunk of this palm-tree, it will drop fresh ripe dates in your lap.[25]

So eat, drink and refresh yourself. If you see anyone, tell him: `I have vowed a fast to Rahman (Allah), so I will not speak to anyone today’."[26]
Carrying the baby, she came back to her people. They said: "O Mary! You have brought something hard to believe![27]

O sister (a woman from the noble family) of
Haroon! Your father was not a bad man nor your mother an unchaste woman."[28] In
response she merely pointed towards the baby. They said: ."How can we talk to a babe in the cradle?".[29]

Whereupon the baby spoke out: ."I am indeed a servant of
Allah. He has given me the Book and made me a Prophet.[30] His blessing is with me wherever I go. He has commanded me to establish Salah and give Zakah as long
as I shall live.[31]

He has exhorted me to honor my mother and has not made me
domineering, hard to deal with.[32] Peace be upon me the day I was born, the day I
shall die and the Day I shall be raised to life again."[33]

Such was Jesus the son of Mary, and this is the True statement about him concerning which they are in doubt.[34] It is not befitting to the majesty of Allah that He Himself should beget a son! He is far above this; for when He decrees a matter He need only say: "Be" and it is.[35].

Jesus declared, Verily Allah is my Lord and your Lord: therefore serve Him. This is the Right Way."36
