O people of the Book! Let us get together.....

There came the time when angels said: "O Mary! Surely Allah has exalted you purified you, and preferred you for His service over all the women of the worlds.[42]
O Mary! Be obedient to your Lord, prostrate and bow down in worship with other
worshippers."[43]

O Muhammad, this is the news from the Unseen which We are revealing to you. You were not present with them when priests of the temple cast their pens to decide which of them should be the guardian of Mary; nor were you with
them when they argued about it.


When the angels said "O Mary! Allah gives you the good news with a Word from Him that you will be given a son: his name will be Messiah, Jesus (Jesus Christ) the son of Mary. He will be noble in this world and the Hereafter; and he will be from those who are very close to Allah. [45] He will speak to the people in the cradle and in his old age and he will be among the righteous."[46]
Hearing this, Mary said, "O my Lord! How can I have a son when no man has ever
touched me?" He replied, "Even so, Allah creates however He wants; whenever He decides to do anything, He only says to it, 'Be,' and it is![47]

Allah will teach your son the Book, the Wisdom, the Torah, and the Gospel[48] and send him forth as a Messenger to the Children of Israel with this message: 'I have brought you signs of my appointment from your Lord. I will make for you the likeness of a bird from clay; I will breathe into it and, with Allah’s leave, it will become a living bird. I will heal the blind and the lepers, and raise the dead to life, by Allah's leave.

Furthermore, I will tell you what you have eaten and what you have stored in your houses. Surely these are the signs to convince you if you are believers.[49] I am appointed to confirm that which is before me from the Torah and to make lawful to you some of the things forbidden to you. Now I have brought you the signs from your Lord, therefore fear Allah and obey me.[50]

In fact, Allah is my Lord as well as your Lord, therefore,
worship Him; this is the Right Way.'"[51]

When Jesus found out that they (most of the children of Israel) had no faith, he
asked: "Who will help me in the cause of Allah?" The Disciples replied: "We will help you in the cause of Allah. We believe in Allah. Be our witness that we are
Muslims."[52]

Favors of Allah (God) upon Isa (A.S) (Jesus peace be upon him)

109 On the Day of Resurrection when Allah gathers the Rasools (Messengers) and asks: "What response were you given from your addressees?" They will say: "We have no knowledge, only You have all the knowledge of the unseen."


110 Then Allah will ask: "O Isa (Jesus) son of Maryam  (Mary)! Recall my favor upon you and to your mother, how I strengthened you with the Holy Spirit, so you could speak to the people in cradle and in old age, how I taught you the Book, Wisdom, the Taurat (Torah) and the Injeel (Gospel). How you were able to make the figure of a bird out of a clay, by My permission, how you breathed into it and changed it into a real bird, by My permission. How you could heal the born-blind and the lepers by My permission. How you could bring the dead body back to life by My permission. How I protected you from the violence of the Children of Israel when you came to them with clear signs and the unbelievers among them said: "This is nothing but a clear sorcery." 


111 Remember when I inspired the disciples to have faith in Me and My Rasool (Messenger) and they said: 'We believe and bear witness that we have become Muslims." 
11 How when the disciples asked: "O Isa son of Maryam! Can your Rabb (Lord) send down to us from heaven a table spread with food?" And you said: "Have fear of Allah if you are true believers."

The Creation and the Purpose of Human Life

1 Alif L'am M'im Suad.

2 This Book is revealed to you; let there be no hesitation in your heart about it so that you may thereby warn the unbelievers and remind the believers.

3 Say: "O people, follow what has been brought down to you from your Rabb (Sustainer) and do not follow other patrons besides Him." Yet little do they take admonition.

4 How many towns have We destroyed for their sins? Our scourge took them all of a sudden at night or while they were taking their afternoon rest,

5 and when our scourge fell upon them, their only cry was: "We have indeed been wrongdoers."

6 On the Day of Judgement We shall question those to whom Rasools (Messengers) were sent and We shall also question the Rasools (Messengers) about Our message and its response.

7 Then We shall tell their whole story as an eye witness for We were never absent at any time or from any place. 8 On that Day, the scale of justice shall be established. Those whose scale of good deeds will be heavy, they are the ones who will attain felicity, 9 and those whose scale is light, they shall find themselves in loss for they had done injustice to Our revelations.

{Story of Adam and Iblees (Shaitan) and Shaitan vowed to mislead Adam and his descendants}

10 We are the One Who established you on earth, and provided you means of your sustenance therein: yet little it is that you pay thanks. 11 Indeed We created you, then We fashioned you, then We asked the angels: "Prostrate yourselves before Adam." They all prostrated accordingly except Iblees (Shaitan) who did not join those who prostrated.

12 Allah said: "What prevented you from prostrating when I commanded you?" He replied: "I am better than he; you created me from fire and him from clay." 13 Allah said: "Get down from here. You have no right to brag here of your superiority. Get out, henceforth you are of the petty ones."

14 Shaitan requested: "Give me respite till the Day of Resurrection." 15 Allah said: "The respite you requested is hereby granted."

16 Shaitan declared: "Since You let me deviate, now I will lie in ambush for mankind on Your Right

Way. 17 I Will come upon them from the front, from the rear, from the right, and from the left, and You will not find most of them to be grateful." 18 Allah said: "Get out from here, you despicable outcast; I will certainly fill hell with you and all of them who follow you."

{Shaitan cunningly seduced Adam and Eve to disobey Allah and Their repentance and Allah's conditional acceptance}

19 Allah said: "O Adam! Dwell with your wife in paradise and eat any fruit you please; but never approach this tree or you shall both become wrongdoers." 20 But Shaitan tempted them so that he might reveal to them the private parts of their bodies which they had never seen before. He told them: "Your Rabb has forbidden you to approach this tree only to prevent you from becoming angels or immortals."

21 And he swore to them both: "I am your sincere adviser." 22 Thus he cunningly seduced them, and when they ate from the tree, their shame became visible to them and they began to cover themselves with the leaves of the garden. Then their Rabb called out to them: "Did I not forbid you to approach that tree, and did not I warn you that Shaitan was your open enemy?" 23 They both replied: "Our Rabb! We have wronged our souls. If You do not forgive us and have mercy on us, we shall certainly be of the losers."

24 Allah said: "Go down, some of you are the enemy of others. The Earth will be your dwelling-place and your means of livelihood for a fixed term." 25 He further said: "Therein you shall live and therein you shall die, and therefrom you shall be raised to life."

{Children of Adam are warned not to fall into the trap of Shaitan like Adam and Allah never commands what is shameful}

26 O children of Adam! We have sent down to you clothing to cover your nakedness and as an adornment, however, the best clothing is the clothing of piety. This is one of Allah's revelations so that the people may learn a lesson. 27 O children of Adam! Let not Shaitan seduce you in the same manner as he seduced your parents out of paradise through stripping them of their clothing in order to expose their nakedness. He and his tribe watch you from where you cannot see them. We have permitted the shaitans to be the guardians over the unbelievers.

The Migration (Hijrah/Hijrat) of Prophet Muhmmad (peace be upon him) to Madina

Aisha (Radiyallahu anha,  May Allah be pleased with her.) (the wife of the Prophet PBUH) narrated that I never remembered my parents believing in any religion other than the true religion (i.e. Islam), and (I don't remember) a single day passing without our being visited by Allah's Apostle  in the morning and in the evening. When the Muslims were put to test (i.e. troubled by the pagans), Abu Bakr (ra) (Father of Aisha ra)set out migrating to the land of Ethiopia, and when he reached Bark-al-Ghimad, Ibn Ad-Daghina, the chief of the tribe of Qara, met him and said, "O Abu Bakr! Where are you going?" Abu Bakr replied, "My people have turned me out (of my country), so I want to wander on the earth and worship my Lord." Ibn Ad-Daghina said, "O Abu Bakr! A man like you should not leave his home-land, nor should he be driven out, beCause you help the destitute, earn their livings, and you keep good relations with your kith and kin, help the weak and poor, entertain guests generously, and help the calamity-stricken persons. Therefore I am your protector. Go back and worship your Lord in your town."

So Abu Bakr (Radiyallahu anhu) returned and Ibn Ad-Daghina accompanied him. In the evening Ibn Ad-Daghina visited the nobles of Quraish and said to them, "A man like Abu Bakr should not leave his homeland, nor should he be driven out. Do you (i.e. Quraish) drive out a man who helps the destitute, earns their living, keeps good relations with his kith and kin, helps the weak and poor, entertains guests generously and helps the calamity-stricken persons?" So the people of Quraish could not refuse Ibn Ad-Daghina's protection, and they said to Ibn Ad-Daghina, "Let Abu Bakr worship his Lord in his house. He can pray and recite there whatever he likes, but he should not hurt us with it, and should not do it publicly, beCause we are afraid that he may affect our women and children." Ibn Ad-Daghina told Abu Bakr (Radiyallahu anhu) of all that. Abu Bakr stayed in that state, worshipping his Lord in his house. He did not pray publicly, nor did he recite Qur'an outside his house.

O Mankind! Worship Your Rabb (Lord) Who Created You and Created Those Who Came Before You...

21 O Mankind! Worship your Rabb (Lord) Who created you and created those who came before you; by doing this you may expect to guard yourself against evil. 22 It is He Who has made the earth a floor for you and the sky a canopy; and it is He Who sends down rain from the sky for the growth of fruits for your sustenance. Therefore, do not knowingly set up rivals to Allah. 


 23 If you are in doubt as to whether the revelations which We have sent to Our servant (Muhammad) are from Us or not, then produce one Surah like this; and call your witnesses (gods that you call upon) besides Allah to assist you, if you are right in your claim. 24 But if you are unable to do so, and you can never do so, then fear the Hell fire, whose fuel is men and stones which is prepared for the unbelievers. 25 Give glad tidings to those who believe in this Book and do good deeds in accordance with its teachings for them there will be Gardens beneath which rivers flow. Whenever they will be given fruits to eat they will say: "This is similar to the one we used to eat before on earth," for the fruits will resemble the fruits on the earth for their easy identification and enjoyment; and for them there will be chaste virgin spouses, and they shall live therein for ever. 


26 Allah does not mind using the similitude of a gnat or an even more insignificant creature to teach a lesson. Those who believe know that it is the truth from their Rabb; but the unbelievers say: "What does Allah mean by such a similitude?" By such a similitude Allah confounds many and enlightens many. He confounds none except the transgressors: 27 those who break Allah's Covenant after accepting it, and who cut aside what Allah has ordered to be united and cause mischief on earth. It is they who are the losers. 


 28 How can you deny Allah? Did He not give you life when you were lifeless; and will He not cause you to die and again bring you to life; and will you not ultimately return to Him ? 29 It is He Who has created for you all that there is in the earth; and directed Himself towards the sky and fashioned it into seven heavens. He has perfect knowledge of everything. 


30 Note that occasion, when your Rabb (Lord) said to the angels: I am going to place a vicegerent on earth. The angels said: "Will You place there one who will make mischief and shed blood while we sing Your praises and glorify Your name?" Allah said: "I know what you know not." 31 He taught Adam the names of all things; then He presented the things to the angels and said: "Tell Me the names of those if what you say is true?" 32 "Glory to You," they replied, "we have no knowledge except what You have taught us: in fact You are the One who is perfect in knowledge and wisdom." 33 Allah said: "O Adam! Tell them the names." When Adam told them the names, Allah said: "Did I not tell you that I know the secrets of the heavens and the earth and I know what you reveal and what you conceal?" 34 When We ordered the angels: "Prostrate before Adam in respect," they all prostrated except Iblees (Shaitan) who refused in his arrogance and became a disbeliever. 35 To Adam We said: "Dwell with your wife in Paradise and eat anything you want from its bountiful food from wherever you wish, but do not approach this tree, or you shall both become transgressors." 36 But Shaitan tempted them with the tree to disobey Allah's commandment and caused them to be expelled from Paradise, and We said: "Get out from here, some of you being enemies to others, and there is for you in the earth an abode and provisions for a specified period." 37 Then Adam received appropriate words from his Rabb and repented, and Allah accepted his repentance. Surely Allah is the Most Forgiving, the Most Merciful. 38 "Get out from here all of you," We said at the time of Adam's departure from Paradise. "There will come to you a guidance from Me, those who accept and follow it shall have nothing to fear or to regret. 39 But those who reject and defy Our revelations will be inmates of Hellfire wherein they shall live forever."

Narrate to Them the Example of the People of a Certain Town to Whom the Messengers Came...

Narrate to them the example of the people of a certain town to whom the Messengers came.[13]


At first We sent to them two Messengers, but when they rejected both, We strengthened them with a third and they all said: "Surely we have been sent to you as Messengers."[14] 

But the people replied: "You are but humans like us. The Compassionate (Allah) has revealed nothing; you are surely lying."[15]

They said: "Our Lord knows that we have indeed been sent as Messengers towards you[16] and our only duty is to convey His message plainly."[17] 

The people replied:
"We regard you as an evil omen for us. Desist, or we will either stone you or you will receive from us a painful punishment."[18] 

They said: "Your evil omens lie within yourselves. Do you say this because you are being admonished? Indeed you are a nation of transgressors."[19] 

In the meantime a man came running from the remote part of the City and said: "O my people! Follow these Messengers.[20] Follow the ones who ask no reward of you and are rightly guided."[21]

It would not be justifiable on my part if I do not worship Him Who has created me and to Whom you shall be brought back.[22] Should I take other gods besides Him? If the Compassionate (Allah) should intend to harm me, their intercession will avail me nothing, nor will they be able to save me.[23] If I do so, I would indeed be in manifest error.[24] Surely I believe in your Lord, so listen to me."[25] 

Consequently they killed that man and it was said to him: "Enter paradise." 


He exclaimed: "Would that my people knew that what I know![26] 
How my Lord has granted me forgiveness and included me among the honored ones."[27] 

After that We did not send any army against his people from heaven, nor was it necessary to do so.[28] It was nothing but a single blast and they all became extinct.[29] 


Alas for My bondsmen! Whenever there came to them a Messenger they mocked at him.[30] 
Do they not see how many generations We have destroyed before them who will never return to
them?[31] While each one of them will be brought before Us on the Day of Judgment.[32]


The dead land may serve as a sign for them; We give it life and produce from it grain for them, which they eat.[33] We also produce from it gardens with date-palms and vines, and We cause springs to gush forth from it,[34] so that they may enjoy the fruits thereof. It was not their hands that made all this; should they not then givethanks?[35] 

Glory be to Allah Who created all things in pairs: the plants of the earth, mankind themselves and other living things which they do not know.[36]  Another sign for them is the night; when We withdraw the daylight from it, and behold they are in darkness.[37] The sun runs its course, this course is predetermined for it by the Almighty, the All-Knowing.[38] As for the moon, We have designed phases for it till it again becomes like an old dry palm branch.[39] Neither it is possible for thesun to overtake the moon, nor for the night to outstrip the day: each floats along in its
own orbit.[40] 

Another sign for them is how We carried their race through the flood in the laden ark;[41] and similar vessels We have made for them on which they ride.[42] If We want, We can drown them, and they will have no helper to save them, nor can they be rescued,[43] except through Our mercy and unless We prolong their lives for a while.[44]




The Holy Quran, Surah:Yasin, Verses: 13-44

The Story of Moosa (Moses peace be upon him) and Firon (Pharoah) : (Post 1)

In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful.


Tua Ha.[1] We have not sent down this Qur’an to put you to trouble,[2] but as a reminder to those who fear Allah.[3] This is a revelation from Him Who has created the earth and the lofty Heavens,[4] the Beneficent (Allah) Who is firmly established on the throne of authority,[5] to Him belongs whatever is in the Heavens and in the earth, and all that lies between them, and all that is beneath the soil.[6] The One to Whom you need not speak aloud; for He knows what is said in secret and what is yet more hidden.[7] He is Allah! There is no deity worthy of worship except Him! To Him belong the most beautiful Names.[8]



Have you heard the story of Moses?[9] When he saw a fire, he said to his family:
"Wait! I saw a fire. I may be able to bring some fire or find someone beside the fire to guide us towards the right direction."[10] When he reached there, he was called: "O Moses![11] In fact, I am your Lord! Take off your shoes, you are in the sacred valley of Tuwa.[12] I have chosen you, so listen to what I am about to reveal.[13] It is Me, Allah; there is none worthy of worship except Me, so worship Me and establish Salah for My remembrance.[14] The final Hour is sure to come, I choose to keep it hidden, so that every soul may be rewarded according to its efforts.[15] Therefore, let not any, who does not believe in this fact and follow his own desires, turn your away, lest you should perish."[16]


"O Moses what is in your right hand?"[17]

Moses replied: "It is my staff; I lean on it, I beat down fodder with it for my flocks and I have also other uses for it."[18]

Allah said
"Toss it down O Moses."[19] So he tossed it down and saw that it became a snake active in motion.[20] Allah said: "Catch it and don’t be afraid, We shall change it to its original shape.[21] Now put your hand under your armpit, it shall become shining white without hurting you, this will be another Sign.[22] These miracles are given to you, in order to show you some of Our Great Signs.[23] Now go to Pharoah (Pharaoh) for he has indeed transgressed all bounds." [24]



Moses prayed: "O Lord! Open my heart,[25] ease my task[26] and remove the
impediment from my speech[27] so that people may understand what I say[28] and grant me a minister from my family;[29] Haroon my brother.[30] Grant me strength through him[31] and let him share my task,[32] so that we may glorify You frequently[33] and mention You often;[34] for You are the One Who has always been watching over us."[35]



Allah responded: "Your request is granted, O Moses.[36] We had indeed bestowed a favor on you before,[37] when We revealed Our will to your mother saying:[38] 'Put your child into the chest and throw the chest into the river.
The river will cast him on to the bank and he will be picked up by one who is an
enemy to Me and an enemy to him.' I made you an object of love and so arranged things that you may be brought up under My supervision.[39]


Recall when your sister went to them and said: 'May I tell you of the one who can take care of this child?’
Thus did We return you back to your mother to comfort her eyes and that she might not grieve. Again when you killed a man, We saved you from great distress and We tested you through various trials. You stayed a number of years with the people of Median. Now you have come here per Our pre-ordainment, O Moses.[40] I have molded you for My service.[41] You and your brother should go with My Signs and do not neglect to mention Me.[42] Go both of you to Pharoah, for he has indeed transgressed all bounds.[43] Speak to him in gentle words; perhaps he may take heed of the reminder or fear Our punishment."[44]


Moses and Haroon said: "Our Lord! We fear that he may behave towards us unjustly or may cross all bounds."[45]

Allah said: "Do not be afraid, I shall be with you both. I hear everything and see
everything.[46] So go to him and say 'Surely we both are Messengers of your Lord.
Let the Children of Israel go with us and oppress them no more. We have brought you a Sign from your Lord; may peace be upon him who follows the guidance.[47]
Indeed it has been revealed to us that the scourge will fall on those who deny this fact and turn away’."[48] 20:[25-48]



When Moses and Haroon went to Pharoah and delivered this message , he said:
"Well, who is your Lord O Moses?"[49]

Moses replied: "Our Lord is He Who has given a distinctive form to all creatures and then rightly guided them."[50]

Pharoah asked: "What do you say about the condition of previous generations?"[51] Moses replied: "That knowledge is with my Lord, duly recorded in a Book. He neither makes
a mistake nor does He forget."[52] He is the One Who has made the earth a cradlefor you, traced the roads on it for you to walk on; and sends down water from the sky with which We produce pairs of various kinds of vegetation[53] - eat from these yourselves and pasture your cattle. Surely there are Signs in it for those who use their brains.[54]
We have created you from the earth, into it We shall return you and from it We shall bring you back to life once again.[55]


We showed Pharoah all kinds of Our Signs, but he denied them and gave no heed.[56]

He said: "Have you come to drive us out of our land with your magic O Moses?[57]

The Story of Moosa (Moses peace be upon him) and Firon (Pharoah) : (Post 2)

Well, we will confront you with magic to match yours! Let us fix a day when both of us should meet, neither we nor you shall fail to keep it, in a place where both shall have even chances."[58]

Moses replied:
"Let it be the Day of Festival and let the people be assembled before noon."[59]


Pharoah then withdrew, concerted his plan and came back.[60]

Moses addressed
them saying: "Woe to you for this challenge! Do not forge a lie against Allah by calling it a magic, lest He destroy you by a scourge; for whosoever forges a lie will indeed be disappointed."[61]


Hearing this, they debated their case among themselves, whispering to one another.[62] Finally they said: "These two (Moses and Haroon) are certainly expert magicians who intend to drive you out from your land with their magic and to do away with your best traditions.[63] Therefore, muster up all
devices and face them with a united front."



Finally when the day of confrontation came, Pharoah said: " Whoever comes out victorious this day shall prevail."[64]

The magicians said: "O Moses! Will you throw down first or shall we?"[65]

Moses replied: "Go ahead, throw down first."

Suddenly it appeared to Moses as if their cords and staffs were moving about because of their magic,[66] and Moses conceived fear within himself.[67]

We said: "Do not be afraid! You will surely come out on top.[68]

Throw that which is in your right hand. It will swallow up all that they have produced.
What they have produced is nothing but a magician’s trick, and a magician can never succeed against a miracle no matter how skillful he may be."[69]


When the magicians saw the serpent of Moses swallowing all their display, being professionals they knew that it was not magic, so the magicians humbled themselves by prostrating and said: "We believe in the Lord of Haroon and Moses."[70]



Pharoah said: "How do you dare to believe in Him without my permission? This man must be your master, who taught you witchcraft. Well, I will cut off your hands and feet on alternate sides and crucify you on trunks of palm-trees; then you will know which one of us can give a more terrible and more lasting punishment."[71]

The magicians replied: "We can never prefer you, rather we prefer the miracle which we have witnessed and Him
Who has created us. Therefore do whatever you will; you can only punish us in this worldly life.[72]

As for us, we have believed in our Lord so that He may forgive us our sins and the magic you have forced us to practice. Better is the ever lasting reward of
Allah."[73]



Surely he who will come to his Lord as a sinner shall be consigned to Hell
- wherein he shall neither die nor live.[74]


While he who will come to Him as a
believer and has done good deeds shall have the highest ranks[75] - Gardens of
Eden, beneath which rivers flow, to live therein forever; such is the reward of those who purify themselves from evil.[76]


We sent Our revelation to Moses, saying: "Set forth with my servants at night and strike a dry path for them through the sea without fear of being overtaken by Pharoah
and without any fear while passing through the sea."[77]

Pharoah followed them withhis armies but the waters completely overwhelmed them and covered them up.[78]


Thus Pharoah misled his people instead of guiding them aright.[79]

O Children of Israel! We delivered you from your enemy, We fixed a time to grant you The Torah on the right side of Mount Tur and We sent down to you Manna (sweet dish) and Salva (quail meat)[80] - saying: "Eat of the good things We have provided for your sustenance and do not transgress, lest you should incur My wrath, and whoever
incurs My wrath, is surely bound to perish,[81]

but the one who repents, becomes a
believer, does good deeds and follows the Right Way shall be forgiven."[82]

Presenting The Story of Jesus (A.S) and Mary (A.S) from the Holy Quran

""O Muhammad, relate to them the story of Maryam (Mary) in the Book (The Qur'an) when she withdrew from her family to a place in the East.[16] She chose to be secluded from them. We sent to her Our angel and he appeared before her as a grown man.[17]

She said: "I seek Rahman’s (Allah’s) protection against you, leave me alone if you are Godfearing."[18] He said: "Don’t be afraid, I am merely a messenger from your
Lord to tell you about the gift of a holy son."[19]


She said: "How shall I bear a son, no
man has ever touched me nor am I unchaste?"[20] The angel replied: "So shall it be- Your Lord says: `It is easy for Me. We wish to make him a Sign for mankind and a blessing from Us’ - and this matter has already been decreed."[21]


So she conceived the child and she retired with him to a remote place.[22] The pains of childbirth drove
her to the trunk of a palm-tree. She cried in her anguish: "Ah! Would that I had died
before this, and been long forgotten!"[23]


An angel from beneath the palm-tree consoled her, saying: "Do not grieve! Your Lord has provided a brook at your
feet.[24] If you shake the trunk of this palm-tree, it will drop fresh ripe dates in your lap.[25]


So eat, drink and refresh yourself. If you see anyone, tell him: `I have vowed a fast to Rahman (Allah), so I will not speak to anyone today’."[26]
Carrying the baby, she came back to her people. They said: "O Mary! You have brought something hard to believe![27]


O sister (a woman from the noble family) of
Haroon! Your father was not a bad man nor your mother an unchaste woman."[28] In
response she merely pointed towards the baby. They said: ."How can we talk to a babe in the cradle?".[29]


Whereupon the baby spoke out: ."I am indeed a servant of
Allah. He has given me the Book and made me a Prophet.[30] His blessing is with me wherever I go. He has commanded me to establish Salah and give Zakah as long
as I shall live.[31]


He has exhorted me to honor my mother and has not made me
domineering, hard to deal with.[32] Peace be upon me the day I was born, the day I
shall die and the Day I shall be raised to life again."[33]

Such was Jesus the son of Mary, and this is the True statement about him concerning which they are in doubt.[34] It is not befitting to the majesty of Allah that He Himself should beget a son! He is far above this; for when He decrees a matter He need only say: "Be" and it is.[35].


Jesus declared, Verily Allah is my Lord and your Lord: therefore serve Him. This is the Right Way."36

A Story Relating to Prophet Ibrahim, Ismail (PBUH) and Hajj in Mecca

Ibn Abbas
(R.A) Narrated that :
When Abraham (Peace be upon him) had differences with his wife), he took Ishmael (Peace be upon him) and his mother and went away. They had a water-skin
with them containing some water, Ishmael's mother used to drink water from the water-skin so that her milk would increase for her child. When Abraham reached Mecca, he made her sit under a tree and afterwards returned home. Ishmael's mother followed him, and when they reached Kada', she called him from behind, "O Abraham! To whom are you leaving us?" He replied, "(I am leaving you) to Allah's (care)." She said, "I am satisfied to be
with Allah." She returned to her place and started drinking water from the water-skin, and her milk increased for her child. When the water had all been used up, she said to herself,
"I'd better go and look so that I may see somebody." She ascended the Safa mountain and looked, hoping to see somebody, but in vain.

When she came down to the valley, she ran till she reached the Marwa mountain. She ran
to and fro (between the two mountains) many times. They she said toherself, "I'd better go and see the state of the child." She went and found it in a state of one on the point of dying. She could not endure to watch it dying and said (to herself), "If I go and look, I may
find somebody." She went and ascended the Safa mountain and looked for a long while but could not find anybody. Thus she completed seven rounds (of running) between Safa and
Marwa. Again she said (to herself), "I'd better go back and see the state of the child." But suddenly she heard a voice, and she said to that strange voice, "Help us if you can offer
any help." Lo! It was Gabriel (who had made the voice).

Gabriel hit the earth with his heel like this (Ibn 'Abbas hit the earth with his heel to
illustrate it), and so the water gushed out. Ishmael's mother was astonished and started digging. (Abu Al-Qasim) (i.e. the Prophet) said, "If she had left the water, (flow naturally
without her intervention), it would have been flowing on the surface of the earth.")
Ishmael's mother started drinking from the water and her milk increased for her child.
Afterwards some people of the tribe of Jurhum, while passing through the bottom of the valley, saw some birds, and that astonished them, and they said, "Birds can only be found
at a place where there is water." They sent a messenger who searched the place and found the water, and returned to inform them about it.

Then they all went to her and said, "O Ishmael's mother! Will you allow us to be with you (or dwell with you)?" (And thus they stayed there.) Later on her boy reached the age of
puberty and married a lady from them. Then an idea occurred to Abraham which he disclosed to his wife (Sarah), "I want to call on my dependents I left (at Mecca)." When he went there, he greeted (Ishmael's wife) and said, "Where is Ishmael?" She replied, "He has gone out hunting." Abraham said (toher), "When he comes, tell him to change the
threshold of his gate." When he came, she told him the same whereupon Ishmael said to her, "You are the threshold, so go to your family (i.e. you are divorced)."

Again Abraham thought of visiting his dependents whom he had left (at Mecca), and he told
his wife (Sarah) of his intentions. Abraham came to Ishmael's house and asked. "Where is
Ishmael?" Ishmael's wife replied, "He has gone out hunting," and added, "Will you stay (for some time) and have something to eat and drink?" Abraham asked, "What is your food and what is your drink?" She replied, "Our food is meat and our drink is water." He said, "O
Allah! Bless their meals and their drink." Abu Al-Qa-sim (i.e. Prophet) said, "Because of Abraham's invocation there are blessings (in Mecca)." Once more Abraham thought of
visiting his family he had left (at Mecca), so he told his wife (Sarah) of his decision. He went
and found Ishmael behind the Zam-zam well, mending his arrows. He said, "O Ishmael,
Your Lord has ordered me to build a house for Him." Ishmael said, "Obey (the order of) your
Lord." Abraham said, "Allah has also ordered me that you should help me therein." Ishmael
said, "Then I will do." So, both of them rose and Abraham started building (the Ka'ba) while
Ishmael went on handing him the stones, and both of them were saying, "O our Lord!
Accept (this service) from us, Verily, You are the All-Hearing, the All-Knowing." (2.127) When
the building became high and the old man (i.e. Abraham) could no longer lift the stones (to
such a high position), he stood over the stone of Al-Maqam and Ishmael carried on handing him the stones, and both of them were saying, -O our Lord! Accept (this service) from us,
Verily You are All-Hearing, All-Knowing." (2.127)

Chaptor 12 Verse 111

One of the great examples of wisdom in the life stories of prophets is that the verses do not merely describe events in the past, but also provide lessons for people of future generations while pointing to events that have yet to take place. In this sense, the life of Yusuf (Alaihe Salam) has several meanings. When we look at his life we see that Muslims have faced similar difficulties in all ages, that they have been subjected to unfounded allegations by people who do not share their religion. And that they have experienced a great many situations in wich they needed to exibit patience and resignation before the will of Allah. We are told that an early age Prophet Yusuf (A.S) was thrown down a well by his brothers and left to die, that he was later sold into slavery and spent long years in prison as a result of false accusations, and that he was tested with number of difficulties. So when believers look at his life they find a great many similarities with their own lives. It is the immutable design of Allah that believers over the ages have faced similar situations. In addition to this, after all the traps that had been set for him ; the way he was thrown into a well, slandered, unjustly imprisoned and left there for years, Allah eventually made Yusuf (A.S) head of the treasury. He gave him power, rank and wealth.

The unalterable pattern of Allah applies here, just as it does in every other field. Allah promises in several verses that the faithful will be delivered after all their tribulations :


"Allah has promised those of you who believe and do right actions that He will make them successors in the land as He made those before them successors, and will fimly establish for them their religion with wich He is pleased and give them in place of their fear, security. "they worship Me, not associating anything with Me". Any who disbelieve after that, such people are deviators."

(Surah An-Nur Verse 55)
