I am a Muslim

I am a Muslim
And God I praise
For all His blessings
My voice I raise

In One God I believe
No equal has He
Lord of the universe Compassionate to me

Muhammad the Prophet
Taught me the way
To be honest and truthful
Throughout everyday

The Holy Quran
To life is my guide
Its teachings I follow
By it I abide

Islam is my religion
Preaches good deeds
Mercy and kindness
To the path it leads

Upon all humanity
God showers His grace
Regardless of colour
Nationality or race

Trough working together
Our hopes increase
To live in a world

Full of love and peace

Full of love and peace

I am a Muslim
And God I praise

For all His blessings
My voice I raise

Good and evil

Good and evil are not the same
Lest we forget
Though evil may be abundant
Good and evil are not the same

Though evil may call your name
Good and evil are not the same
It sparkles and shines in this life
Its ugliness is hidden by bright lights

And the good may seem ugly at times
Good an evil are not the same
It is hard for me to smile at you
And say it will be easy
Because I for one know it won't be

Good and evil are not the same
Abundant evil grows
And pure good we seldom know
But only good is worth having

For this life goes as fast as it comes
Allah is one
We suffer for him
So choose good and I will try the same
Good is not the same as evil
Though evil is abundant

Let's read how our Creator introduces Himself.

Although the holy Quran is full of the information about our Creator but i have selected only 12 verses in wich He has told a lot about Himself.

Here is the translation that i want to share with you today :

" 95. Verily it is Allah who causes the seed-grain and fruit-stone (like date-stone) to split and sprout. He brings forth the living from the dead, and it is He Who brings forth the dead from the living. Such is Allah, then how are you deluded away from the truth ?

96. He causes the dawn to break. He has appointed the night for resting, and the sun and the moon for reckoning. Such is the measuring of the All-Mighty, the All-Knowing.

97. It He Who has set the stars for you, So that you may guide your course with their help through the darkness of the land and the sea. We have (indeed) explained in detail Our Ayat (Proofs, evidence, verses, lessons, signs, Revelations etc.) for people who know.

98. It is He Who has created you from a single person (Adam), and has given you a place of residing (on the earth or in your mother's wombs) and a place of storage (in the earth or in graves)
Indeed, We have explained in detail Our revelations (this Quran) for people who understand.

99. It is He Who sends down water (rain) from the sky, and with it We bring forth vegetation of all kinds, and out of it We bring forth green stalks, from wich We bring forth clustered grain. And out of the date-palm and its spathe come forth clusters and dates hanging low and near, and gardens of grapes, olives and pomegranates, each similar (in kind) yet different (in variety and taste). Look at their fruits when they begin to bear, and the ripeness thereof. Verily ! in these things there are signs for those who believe.

100. And they make the jinn associates with Allah, while He created them (the jinn), and they attribute falsely without knowledge sons and daughers to Him. Be He Glorified and Exalted above all that (evil) they attribute to Him.

101. He is the Originator of the heavens and the earth. How can He have childrens when He has no wife?

He created all things and He is the All-Knower of everything.

102. Such is Allah your Lord! La ilaha illa Huwa (none has the right to be worshiped but He), the Creator of all things.

So worship Him (Alone), and He is the Wakil (Trustee, Disposer of affairs, Guardian) over all things

103. No vision can grasp Him, but He grasps all vision, He is Al-Latif (the most Subtle and Courteous), Well-Aquainted with all things.

Verily, Proofs have come to you from your Lord, So whoever sees, will do so for (the good of) his ownself, and whoever blinds himself, will do so to his own harm, and I (Muhammad peace be upon him) am not a watcher over you.

105. Thus We explain variously the verses so that they (the disbelievers) may say : "You have studied" (the books of the people of the scripture and brought this Quran from that).

And that We may make the matter clear for the people who have knowledge.

106. Follow what has been revealed to you (O Muhammad peace be upon Him) from your Lord, La ilaha illa Huwa (none has the right to be worshiped but He) and turn aside from the polythiests.

The Holy Quran
Chaptor #06 Al-Anaam
Verses 95 To 106

Between Safa and Marwa

Oh my mother Hagar!
The wife of Ibrahim
Running and searching to fed your dying babe
In distress
Running out of breathe
Feeling helpless
And feeling weak

Taking your faith to every mountain
In search of water for your boy
Your dying boy
Oh how the angel took pity on you
Striking the ground and causing water to flow

Fed your babe
All alone in the desert
Wasting away

But it was not the wish of your husband
To cause you such cruelty
He could not even turn back to you
As you pleaded for a reason
His heart was soft
But their was someone he loved more then you
For Allah?, you asked
And he said yes

For Ibrahim loved unconditionally
More then anyone in the world
The one who created the heavens and earth

When Allah spoke to him, he listened
He tested repeatedly his most faithful servant
And in turn Ibrahim is a friend to Allah

And now my mother
We run like you run
Retracing your steps
Not with a babe in our arms
But with our hearts filled

Asking for mercy
Praying that a mere ritual
Will grant us a place in paradise

But for you Hagar, my sweet mother
My faithful mother
I pray for you, a place beside your husband
Where you'll wear gold and never be cold
And never have to run again

Reward of Patience in Worries and Sufferings of Life.

In the chaptor 2 of the Holy Quran our Creator informed us the following :

O you who believe ! Seek help in Patience and As-Salat (the prayer) Truly ! Allah is with the Patient.
And say not of those who are killed in the way of Allah, "They are dead" Nay,they are living, but you percieve (it) not.
And certainly, We shall test you
with something of fear,
hunger,
loss of wealth,
lives and fruits,
but give glad tidings to the Patient.
Who when affilicted with calamity, say:

"Truly ! To Allah we belong and truly,to Him we shall return".

They are those on whom are the Salawat (i-e who are blessed and will be forgiven) from their Lord, and (they are those who) recieve His Mercy, and it is they who are the guided ones.

Man on this planet is like an examinee in an examination hall. Therefore, we should be ready to go through different type of tests, as we can see in the Holy Quran it has been made clear that everyone of us is surely going to be tested in different ways.
Whether he is in difficulties and worries or he is enjoying blessings given by his Creator a true believer takes benefit in both type of situations, in difficuties because he is patient he gets reward from his Lord and when he is blessed with luxuries of life, although now he is enjoying life he says thanks to Allah (by acting upon His commands) and remembers Him.
Thus a true believer is in profit in all type of situations.

So, be a true believer and enjoy a successful life.

I have published this post in response to a mail from one of my closer ones. Who was worried yesterday so much and was unable to sleep the whole night because of worries of life.

May Allah help us in all type of situations.

Ameen !

Life and Death

Photobucket
Our Lord whose existence is evident, has a power that is so apparent, and he is our protecting guide says in (the english translation of) the Holy Quran Chapter 16 v 70:
"It is Allah (God) who creates you takes your soul at death, and of you there are some who are sent back to a feeble age, so that they know nothing after having known (much): for Allah (God) is All Knowing, All Powerful"
