Go forth and seek knowledge!

"There are a number of things in our lives which we strive for because we can see happiness in them, we can see pleasure and enjoyment that we can get from them. And these things may have difficulties in their path but because we can see the obvious benifits we are willing to bear the difficulties and carry on anyway. Sometimes in the case of knowledge and seeking knowledge, the benifits are not that obvious so satan can easily swirve us by enhancing some difficulties, whispering in our ears (you know) we can find a million and one excuses why not to seek knowledge. Satan will be busy to throw these things in our paths. So this is a remider from this story, the struggle that prophet Musa -and this is a prophet of Allah, the struggle that he had to go through to get the knowledge. The trials that he faced in the process of getting that knowledge this is all a reminder to us that we have to be prepared if we seriuosly want to act on the Prophet's (saw) instruction "seeking knowledge is compulsury for every Muslim" if we are really sincere about following the prophet's (saw) instruction then we have to be prepared to face difficulty in the process...."

"Good deeds are not equal to the evil ones. Repel other's evil deeds with your good deeds. You will see that he with whom you had enmity, will become your close friend.
But none will attain this quality except those who patiently endure and none will attain this quality except those who are truly fortunate."

Jazakallah khair, for this article.
I just wanted to share a few verses and a Hadith on the importance of knowledge:

"And say: My Lord increase me in knowledge."

(Qur'an, Ta-Ha 20:114)

"It is only those who have knowledge among His servants that fear Allah."
(Qur'an, Fatir 35:28)

"Allah will raise up, to (suitable) ranks and (degrees), those of you who believe and who have been granted knowledge. And Allah is well-acquainted with all you do."
(Qur'an, Al-Mujadilah 58:11)

Abu Darda' said that he heard the Prophet saying, "The 'Ulama' are heirs of the Prophets, and the Prophets do not leave an inheritance of Dirhams and Dinars but (they left) only knowledge. He who acquires knowledge acquires a vast portion."
