It is a fruit called Pomegaranate, mostly found in Iran, Pakistan, India etc.

Trisha, you are right In urdu we also call it Anar.

I had captured this photograph in June 2009. It was my uncle who permited me to take a snap but it was not ready for eating so they were waiting with patience.
