TThe shaytan is the companion for the one(s) who turns away from Ar-Rahman

assalamu alaikum,

Allah(azza wajal) says in Surah az-Zukhruf:

وَمَن يَعْشُ عَن ذِكْرِ الرَّحْمَـنِ نُقَيِّضْ لَهُ شَيْطَاناً فَهُوَ لَهُ قَرِينٌ

meaning:

36. And whosoever Ya`shu (turns away blindly) from the remembrance of the Most Gracious, We appoint for him Shaytan to be a Qarin (a companion) to him.

imam ibn Katheer says in his Tafseer that this means "whoever willfully ignores and turns away, Al-`Asha (the root of Ya`sh) refers to weakness of vision; what is meant here is weakness of insight." This is like the Ayat:

[وَمَن يُشَاقِقِ الرَّسُولَ مِن بَعْدِ مَا تَبَيَّنَ لَهُ الْهُدَى]

(And whoever contradicts and opposes the Messenger after the right path has been shown clearly to him) (4:115),

[فَلَمَّا زَاغُواْ أَزَاغَ اللَّهُ قُلُوبَهُمْ]

(So when they turned away, Allah turned their hearts away) (61:5), and

[وَقَيَّضْنَا لَهُمْ قُرَنَآءَ فَزَيَّنُواْ لَهُم مَّا بَيْنَ أَيْدِيهِمْ وَمَا خَلْفَهُمْ]

(And We have assigned for them intimate companions, who have made fair seeming to them, what was before them and what was behind them) (41:25).

We should never turn away from the remembrance of Allah and acting upon the Quran and Sunnah.We should never give up, reading, reciting, acting upon, and contemplating the book of Allah. We should also realize that the house where Allahs remembance is not mentioned is like a graveyard. We should make sure we are people of ath-thikr(remembrance, the Quran). The shaytan is the companion for the one(s) who turns away from Ar-Rahman.

Guidelines

"Good deeds are not equal to the evil ones. Repel other's evil deeds with your good deeds. You will see that he with whom you had enmity, will become your close friend.
But none will attain this quality except those who patiently endure and none will attain this quality except those who are truly fortunate."
